L’Or dans les souvenirs

LORDLS (L’Or dans les souvenirs) is Jacky Carême‘s new project.
His first LP is a concept album built around 8 pop songs about the steelmaking past of the
Greater Region as a guiding thread.

Throughout his catchy tunes, LORDLS displays remarkable songwriting skills, penning French
lyrics encapsulated in modern poetry and melodies full of personal landscapes.
The sound aesthetics are defined with a shattering musical arrangement of Roland Wiltgen
(Esch Music Conservatory’s retired teacher) for a string quartet and brass, as well as LORDLS
new-fashioned trap beats on e-drums.

Icing on the vinyl record, the Belgian poets Sabine Caprasse and Marie Derley, wrote the lyrics
of the 1st and final track; and Julien Primout, Luxembourg-based Freshdax’s rapper, blended
Luxembourgish and French lyrics to sublime the single Géigeliicht.

The sound was captured at the prestigious ICP Studios (Angèle, Coldplay, Indochine,…) in
Brussels and mixed in Liège at Le Chênée Palace by Lucas Serruya and masterised by
Miloud Sassi at dbMasterpro.
